Leader in Me lesson-April 21, 2020
E.L.A. Lesson-April 21-Leader In Me book pages 36, 37, 38, 39, 40 and 41.
Uploaded Apr 21, 2020
*Note: The video covers 3 lessons.
In this lesson we will be focusing on Habit 3: Put First Things First. These lessons will help students decided what are the most important things to them and how they will take time each week to work on them.
Page 36-37:
Students are working on their Big Rocks ( the things or activities that are most important to them) and making sure they schedule enough time each week to work on them. On page 37 have students add words or draw pictures of two things they feel are Big Rocks to them. On the little rocks they can choose their less important things.
Page 38-39:
Students are going to learn to Prioritize. They are going to learn how to put their important things in order. On page 39 students need to help the character Lily prioritize to get ready for dinner. What should Lily do 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Page 40-41:
Students are going to learn when to say "No, Thank You" to the less import things. Saying No Thank You can be really hard especially when we have to tell our friends no. But good leaders learn to say no to less important things, if there are more important things they need to do. On page 41 have students cross off the things that weren't important to Allie
Take a picture of their favorite page and upload it to their class portfolio (directions are on my webpage). I look forward to seeing their Big Rocks.

I look forward to seeing what each student decided is most important to them.

Leader In Me lesson-April 14, 2020
E.L.A. Lesson-April 14-Leader In Me book pages 34-35.
Uploaded Apr 14, 2020
In this lesson we will be focusing on Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind. This lesson will focus on students making a plan for a goal they want to achieve. This will help students when they want to learn or try something new to first make a plan. Then read about it or ask others. And then finally decide how they are going to practice and how often they are going to practice it.
After watching the video, have your student draw a picture of their goal (something new they want to learn) on page 35. Then make sure they write a number for how many times they are going to practice a week to reach their goal.
*For a challenge, once students draw their picture have them label the picture, or write a sentence underneath, or write steps on how they will reach their goal to help practice their writing skills.
Take a picture of their drawing and upload it to their class portfolio (directions are on my webpage). I look forward to seeing each students goal.
