General Information

 

A Note From Ms. Sherri Wallace-Tubman’s Librarian


We believe that independent reading is an essential part of each student's learning and growth. Our students choose from the books they want to read and discover the enjoyment and power of reading. Finding the right book at the right time can ignite an emotional spark within children that motivates them to read more. When that happens, the world opens.

Kindergarten 
Scheduled class visits are once a week. Parents are encouraged to visit the library either with or without their student and check out books to help foster the love of reading.
 
Grades 1-8
Students visit the library with their class weekly. Students can also visit the library before, during recess, lunch and after school.
 
In addition, the Library is open for students for 15 minutes before and after school every day of the week unless otherwise notified, (schedules may vary). 
 
If a class visit is missed due to Field Trip, Holiday, or for any other reason, I will make every effort to work with the Teachers to help accommodate an appropriate time!
